I just got my braces off 839 and was given removable retainers top bottom. My thoughts on the removal process.

Getting the brackets off wasnt bad. I had the standard brackets on my lower and the clear ceramic ones on top. She took the lower brackets off in a strip and the ceramic uppers came off one at a time.
Getting the metal bands around the molars. So I got my braces off today and have to wear a retainer for however long. So my question is how fking long till this annoying pain goes away.
Ive had like 20 Advil today and slept a good 7 hours throughout the day. Is it supposed to hurt like this for a couple days while the teeth set. The reason I ask is that doctors will just say anything.
